Bought a new VTX1300R in April, broke it in, changed oil/filter a couple times, then @600mi. I did the synthetic MCV 20-50 cut 50% with Delvac1 5-40...(12.5-45) no? anyway, 1950 mi. now, it's getting colder here in WI. I may ride only a few days til next March or so...I'm leaving this fill in for the winter and probably til next year at this time should be 3.5-5k on it then...ought to be fine.

Might be OK. I've done it, but I don't make a habit of leaving used oil in over winter.

I'd feel better changing to the cheapest mineral oil that is the correct viscosity/grade before storage, and changing it to your Usual brew before riding next year. But, I think you'll be OK either way.
Same bike, same thought currently 4k on mine with 1500k on mobil 1 10w40mxt. I'm draining with dino 10w40 supertech with st filter. (just for added piece of mind)
