I’m continually impressed by the fuel mileage on our Carnival.

Had a roughly 50 mile drive this morning. It included about 10 miles of 45 mph roads, with some traffic and stop lights. Then about 40 miles of interstate driving averaging about 75 mph, with some slow downs in between. The computer readout said 30.0 avg mpg for the trip. Based on previous math, this equates to about 28.0 mpg calculated, as the readout is optimistic. That’s fantastic for a big vehicle during early rush hour traffic. I posted in another thread recently that we got 28.2 calculated mpg on a trip from SE Michigan through the mountains to SE PA. No hybrid, just a V6 running 87 currently.

What is your vehicles fuel economy EPA estimate(City, Hiwy, Comb)?
The COMBINED Fuel Economy seems to be the most accurate for my type of driving. I don't really do much if any, city stop & go/slow & go type driving. And my hiwy mpg is reasonably close to the EPA estimate.

Good driving habits, vehicle maintenance & better weather/outside temps (OCI's, controlled speeds, proper tire PSI etc.) all contribute in getting decent MPG. And maybe even the gas station that you frequent most often helps as well. I notice this myself !

EPA rated mpg is 19/26/22. Over the life of the vehicle we’re right around 22 mpg. That includes a lot of 1/2 mile trips to and from school. We get gas wherever we happen to be.
