lol, not many people tear down their engines after every oil change. If you would like to do that, fine with us but shy of that lofty goal, UOAs are well established tools for indirect examination of engine wear.
Where do you think the metals in the used oil come from anyway? What about UOAs that are remarkably consistent, with WEAR METALS coming in exactly the same mg/kg after 1000s of miles? How do you account for that?
