If General George Patton Were President

What would General George Patton do if he were President? The view seems incredibly close to our own:

My fellow Americans:

As you all know, the defeat of Iraq's regime has been completed.

Since congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is complete.
This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq. This action will be complete within 30 days. It is now time to begin the reckoning.

Before me, I have two lists. One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short: The United Kingdom, Spain, Bulgaria, Australia, Norway and Poland are some of the countries listed there.

The other list contains everyone not on the first list. Most of the world's nations are on that list.

My press secretary will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.

Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those
nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely. The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi war.

The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world **** -holes and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption.

Need help with a famine? Wrestling with an epidemic? Call France.

In the future, together with Congress, I will work to cut taxes and solve some local problems.

On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Screw with us and we will
hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the
earth.
Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France, or maybe China

To Israel and the Palestinian Authority. You, boys. Work out a peace deal now.
Just note that Camp David is closed.

Maybe all of you can go to Russia for negotiations. They have some great
palaces there. Big tables, too.

I'm ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France, Germany, and Russia. Thanks for all your help, comrades. We are retiring from NATO as well. Bon chance, mes amis.

I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and crushed.

I don't care about whatever treaty pertains to this. Pay your tickets tomorrow or watch your precious Benzes, Beamers, and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love New York.

A special note to our neighbors. Canada is on List 2. Since we are going to be seeing a lot more of each other, you folks might want to try not ******* us off for a change. Mexico is also on List 2. President Fox and his entire corrupt government really need an attitude adjustment. I have a couple of extra tank and infantry divisions sitting around. Guess where I'm gonna put 'em? Yep, border security. So start doing something with your oil.

Oh, by the way, the United States is abrogating the NAFTA treaty--starting now.

It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and its own citizens.
Some will accuse us of isolationism. I answer them by saying darn tootin'.

Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the
planet.
It is time to cut taxes here because we will not be spending on other peoples problems.

To the nations on List 1, a final thought. Thanks guys. We owe you.

To the nations on List 2, a final thought. Drop dead.

God bless America.

Thank you and good night.

ALS,

Cudos, I couldnt agree more.

I would add one stipulation:

If your country is **** -hole, grow some cojones and stay and fix it. Dont come running to the USA so you can get on our government dole. Its time the rest of the world fixed their own problems and let us be for a while. If you dont like the US, stop taking our money.

Is that the sound of the US economy grinding to a halt when the arabs launch a new embargo? Wonder where Boeing will be selling all those airplanes, Airbus will be mighty happy etc...etc.

Two other options I thought would be nice addition to this piece. Would be A. there are what close to 170 countries in the U.N. so each of these anti American countries should have to pay 1/170th of the total U.N. operating budget.
If they can't afford to pay no problem, No pay no vote seems fair to me. B. We get out of the U.N. and take our friends with us starting up or own club of Democracys only. Let the rest of the losers fight amoung themselves and pay their own bills, fund and train their own army. I figure without the U.S. twenty percent of the worlds population would either starve, be killed in civil wars, by the dictator of their country or die of curable diseases in the next 10 years.
Let me add if your not part of our club your students are not welcome in our country for their education. Doesn't France have some nice cooking schools they can study at? 101 ways to prepare and serve Camel. Hampsters on a stick.

Mike, that may not be a long term reasoned solution to our problems, as your post implies, but its how a lot of folks feel right now.

And MNTZR,The solution to the arab oil embargo would be to feed the tree huggers to the Polar Bears and start drilling for the oil that we have.

Let the arabs sell their oil to their friends. Its their economy that would collapse. It might also get the car companies to stop building vehicles for the yuppies with the mpg of an Abrams tank!

Patton was a criminal.

During both Hoover and Roosevelt he was responsible for violent and bloody dealing with peaceful demonstrations. Just remember the Bonus Army 1932 accident. This PEACEFUL demonstration of ex-military personnel was asking Hoover to provide them some kind of financial assistance for their service to this country during economic depression. Later during Roosevelt's administration Patton was responsible for "putting unions to their place." This man was a criminal. Especially if you consider what he'd done and how he'd done it using military power against his own people and former military members.

Patton was a criminal... Period.

Patton was small fry compared to Clinton. And he was arguably the greatest General the U.S. ever produced. I disagree with your "facts"-yea documentation please..

I guess that is why you live in the Republik of Kalifornia.

Patton was a great man who got things done and done right with out pussyfootin' around. To bad more American polititions are not like him! Those peacefull protesters(if they even exsisted) reffered to were probibly the the same kind of Americans that spit on American soldiers when they came home from Nam. Those kind of people don't deserve to live in this country and I'm sure Patton would feel the same.

Google "Bonus Army" and Patton, it's well documented.

"Criminal" might be a bit harsh, he was only enthusiastically following orders.

Eisenhower's and Patton's attack on the Bonus Army under the command of McArther was one of the reasons that Hoover lost to FDR.

Patton was a major at the time of the bonus army stuff, and had only held his position as 2nd in command of the regiment, for 3 weeks prior. Not one shot was fired during the event, although tear gas was used liberally. Only 4 deaths total........2 shot by police during a riot, which was the reason the army was called in.......and 2 dead from tear gas. No matter what your position on the event in question.......I don't see how patton could be held responsible.

Lets talk about the body count that was adding up around Bill and Hillary Clinton. Lets not talk about all those children that got CS gassed to death in Waco TX. CS is illegal to use in War but fine for Clintons and Reno to use on innocent Kids.
Here is a list of all the Clintons friends, fund raisers, security personnel, interns, business associates and others associated with the Clintons that mysteriously died while this family has served in public office. Jimmy Carter had no bodies popping up while he was Governor and President, Ronald Reagan didn't have any bodies popping up while he was in public office, George H. Bush had no bodies pop up while he was President or Vice President. And so far George W. Bush hasn't had anyone around him die a odd or strange death. But dog gone it Bill Clinton had dead people all around him and Hillary. Here is a list they stopped adding to it in 1998. It is scary that people think he was a saint.

It was France's oil in Iraq ,what did you expected them to do?Please go ahead and take our oil...ops let me help you carring it.
Russia's interest were served better with Sadam in power becose the embargo in Iraq before the war held the prices high enough to sell their oil.
Saddam was a threat and unstable factor for the region and due to the oil for the whole world and had to be eleminated.
Personaly i think he had became a junky and thas had lost the sence of measure.
It is time for USA to leave now before it is too late. What do you think the victims of this war will do? A father that has lost his family? He will seek for revenge, it is a circle of blood that we see everyday in Israel. It has to end soon.
