The dealership told me the SLS did not come with a Briggs CXi but I have seen one so now I am put off towards them for the misinformation. He may be talking 2025 vs. 2026, I'm not sure so I look into how to confirm the year model and see one needs to look it up on Scagparts.com.
It's more difficult than it should be but whatever unless someone here knows a simpler way. I do not want a 2025 unless they discount it. I'm going to test them soon and ask about it.
I am trading lightly and suspiciously because:
I visited this dealership just before closing time in 2003 when the Z-Force was released seeing it with a Kawasaki engine on the floor. I told them I wanted it and they said it would be ready tomorrow. I pulled out the checkbook to leave a deposit and they told me no need and took my name. I show up to see an Intek 18HP and was told the other sold. I walked ending up finding out CC ran out of Kawasaki engines so I purchased elswhere.
18 years later and no other dealerships conveniently located I cautiously darken their door again and suspect if I don't ask they will not say.
The old friend. 2nd deck shell and engine now a 23HP one of the pumps is failing and I think I'll retire it or part it out, or give it away and enjoy a Scag SLS or Liberty.
