I have the Pittsburg version of this set and I've been very pleased. For a casual DIY'er like myself, it'll probably last a lifetime.
SAE set is on clearance as well. 15/16” usually works for 24mm.

The catch is you have to bring in and swap out the whole set for one socket. If you lose one socket but want to warranty another, SOL.
My store will give you a single and purple-tag the set with the missing size.
Then cherish your store because they are not suppose to break sets.
I believe what you're saying does happen. The problem is that many stores don't really know their own policy very well. It says "HF will replace any tool that fails" Doesn't say replace the whole kit of undamaged tools & specifically calls out the "tool that fails" for replacement. It does say they can substitute a damaged item that is "Substantially Similar item". I could see if they're going to replace the whole kit to replace it with a whole new kit. What you describe above is not correct in their actions period. Sounds like breaking sets could be very well allowed as a "Substitution".

I do not have many Icon tools but I do have a few eg long double flex head wrenches, as far as I can tell they are not junk and with the store being less than a mile away returns are easy but so far no returns. Not top shelf but I would put them on the same level as Capri, Tekton, Carlyle, Blue point, Williams Taiwan, etc all are perfectly acceptable.

They have a clearance section online as well but you're probably right with the hand tools. Online had no ICON or other hand tools available but my local store does. Good point indeed!
