Why are vets and police special?i purposely park my free breathing pickup in the EV, fuel efficient, and any other special parking spot. only people that should get special parking are; Veterans, handicapped and law enforcement/fire
Retaliation seems to be the thing to do here. Make an honest mistake and expect someone to do something to make sure you know you were in the wrong. Nobody can just shake it off and go on with their dayYou have more drama in your life than my five closest friends put together.
veterans regardless of time served or branch served are better men than i will ever be and deserve more than society gives. Police as well, they work hard to make sure we keep a safer society regardless of what the media wants you to believe. Why are vets and police special?
I mean cops tend to be on the larger side, so I get that.
Most vets that need closer parking already have a plate or placard. Hell, I have one and I don't use it.
I can see some respect, but special rights, laws, like gun laws that exempt police, LE = not what our Constitution is about. Why are vets and police special?

There is a process of asking Dr for placard and dmv gives you one. My wife’s aunt goes back and forth about using hers who has ankle fused for life due to severe car accident.Personally I've never understood special spots except handicap's. But then again my sister and mom got yelled for parking in handicap spots. She couldn't walk far due to lung rejection/surgery, talk about mom turning into nuclear bomb. Things like that is why I tend to stay in my lane, never know someone's circumstances.
Usually they have charging when marked that way.Are those specially marked spots actually enforceable at all? Like spots for pickup only, etc. It’s private property, but often these businesses are tenants.
But it wasn’t “an honest mistake” in this case.Retaliation seems to be the thing to do here. Make an honest mistake and expect someone to do something to make sure you know you were in the wrong. Nobody can just shake it off and go on with their day
Wow, that is a bit toasty! How much water and salt do you take in a day like that? I have worked in similar heat filling a hay barn to the roof with squares, but I was 15 so I survived pretty well, but I do remember coming down the hay elevator and 90F feeling quite cool!It is. Not as hot as phx or Vegas usually but it still gets over 100f often.
As I have aged the heat bothers me more and working in a 120+ degree steel building makes for a miserable day.
I took this pic in the shade last week inside our building.

Wouldn't want one anyway! You arent getting any ducks from her.
Once upon a time, the supply chain for the Prius circumnavigated the globe, starting with nickel from canada before making its way to full up battery packs built into cars in Japan then shipped to the USA. Even then with a much smaller battery (hybrid vs EV) there were many pointing out how the cars were anything but good for the environment because they took so much energy to build and deliver to point of use."Clean air vehicles" is open to interpretation, Having a 20 plus year old vehicle that still passes California emissions testing could be considered cleaner than any new EV as they don't magically fall out of the sky already assembled.
No charger. Just writing on the groundI may be biased as an EV owner.... oh wait, I don't care where you park. As long as you aren't taking up a charger, I think "clean air vehicle" parking (not in front of a charger) is super dumb. If there isn't a charger there, feel free to park there, It's none of my business. If you are taking up EV charger parking, though, especially if it's busy, yeah, I'm gonna say something.
