there's a few individual dealers but all of them ive contacted were very unprofessional and kind of confused . a couple i left messages with a never heard back either. the napa's around here used to sell amsoil but they stopped a couple years ago for some reason.

That sucks, I have had nothing but positive thoughts and responses from my local Amsoil dealer when I contact and do transactions with him.

Just posted basically the same thing in another thread:

I humbly request that people who post on and use BITOG purchase their Amsoil products through the site sponsor, so my proceeds can help support the site. It's easy to contact me. I will also state that I read some pretty high prices and long delivery times stated in another MTF thread. Amsoil MTF PC price is $9.80/qt and since one of the Amsoil Distribution Centers isn't super far away, we usually are talking 1-2 maybe 3 days for delivery.

My guess is it is due to the low viscosity of the Maxlife ATF. It is now around 6 cst vs the Dex 3 viscosity so your car shift notchy. If you want off the shelf ATF you can just use any MD3 fluid, and it would likely be in a closer visc to the original fluid than Maxlife.

That's the reason I pick Castrol IM because it is thicker than Maxlife in my Integra.
