I used 14 fuel system cleaners in 1 OCI and looked at it with an endoscope

Put Techron Complete 1oz per gallon in 2019 with Sonata GDI and 2K mi since OC ( Restore and Protect ) with 23K mi total at OC. Prior to adding Techron , oil was completely transparent. Just checked dip stick after 400 +miles (empty tank) and it was two shades darker!
Stuff is working.

It’s got all the fancy stuff in it, which means it’s got to be shipped as HAZMAT… which I heard is like $50 per case on top of the cost of the product and regular shipping, which means this makes it insanely expensive vs. local pickup.

However, Dave mentioned you literally can’t get a stronger, more complete fuel system cleaner than the HPL one; it covers every aspect: carbs, injectors, storage, combustion, corrosion, etc. This means if you pick it up it’s an unparalleled value since you’ll only have to buy one product for everything.

@High Performance Lubricants, if you’re kind enough to hold another open house, it would be neat to take “pre-orders” on this (since demand is obviously there) and allow people to pick up their fuel system cleaner from the plant. 😉
Redline SI-1 does all that too

I guess it remains to be seen what is good enough and what is beyond overkill...
Some people think Top Tier Gasoline is unnecessary.
Some people think Fuel system additives are unnecessary at some recommended interval.
And then on the extreme you have some folks running an additive with every tank...or doing some really high dosages....or other wacky things.

I'm sure the HPL product is great, but the others in question are probably sufficient.
If HPL wants to discuss the formulation/science, I think that would be very interesting and appreciated.

Guarantee it’s not the same. Nothing has the same makeup as HPL… it literally has every single known fuel system and chamber cleaner known to the industry in it. 12 ounces will treat 36 gallons.

SI-1 is good; I used it before the HPL; but it’s not an equal.

Do you have a link to it by chance? Sometimes I have difficulty finding things on their website
