1) If my stash wasn't so big, I would try it.
2) Didn't know M1 was tainted. I don't think it's the best oil for a Jeep, but she'll be fine nevertheless.
3) Yep. Anything will make that motor go.
4) I personally think so (depending on use), however, I use 5W30 in my Jeeps during winter (except my Cherokee which currently has Supertech 10W30 cut down with almost a quart of MMO - 7W27? LOL). When out on the trail, it's stop and go, so the oil never really gets hot. Besides, the GTX that's in there is 10.8 cSt @100*C, which is fine.
