........and boy am I torqued!

I was washing my '05 Accord after a drive over to Indy on Sunday to watch the race and listen to Danica "Potty Mouth" Patrick fill the scanner with f-words and even MF-words.

So I decided if I couldn't wash out the Whine Queen's mouth with soap, I could wash down the Accord.

I used a spray wand remove the 5.1 million bugs on the front. The clear bra looked fine afterward. Then I ran it through Mike's Express Car Wash. Lots of soap and water. It looked fine afterward.

I was drying the car with a Cobra microfiber towel and I rubbed a couple of water spots on the clear bra. To my utter dismay, noticeable scratches appeared! Either there was a piece of debris imbedded in the clear bra or there was something in the towel, though I would have sworn that towel was clean and there was nothing imbedded in the towel.

Is there any way to correct those ugly scratches, short of a new clear piece on the hood?

Danica talkin' dirty, I got to get me a scanner and start going to the races. Dont feel bad, I screwed up a $300 carb on a Polaris, had to totally tear apart Briggs stratton engine because of stupidity. At least it wasnt the paint.

Well, it wasn't the paint, but it still pains me to scratch up an expensive piece of plastic.

And I figured if they were gonna talk dirty between driver and crew, they'd at least switch to an unlisted "crew channel."

I had to laugh when her crew chief told her on the first pace lap to be sure and wave to the crowd. That, obviously, in reaction to her being booed (again) during the driver introductions. The media claims the crowd showered her with applause at the end of the race for finishing fifth.

What a heifer.

I was very active in the detailing community for a while and I believe I read that the 3m clear bra can be polished. You may do a quick google search to confirm but I have seen detailing threads where the pro has polished the clear film.

I had a 3M clear bra installed and here is what my installer told me " use Isopropyl Alcohol and a soft Microfiber Towel to wipe the surface, then let it dry in sun. he told me it will heal itself to a certain degree. this would be for small scratches and swirls. hope this helps thanks. just make sure your towel is super clean and free of dirt etc.... you could always do a small test area and see how it works for you.

Thanks, matrass.

And Panzerman, now that you've dumped your oil stash in the ocean and have adopted Danica's "Peak," there'd be no reason to heifer at this point.

Unless you meant "peek" on the other forum.
