So a large tree branch fell off the tree onto the ground. The tree branch is the size of a small tree and will probably require multiple truck loads to bring it somewhere which is fine. I was going to cut the branch up and bring it somewhere but i cannot figure out where to bring it. I tried google searching but no luck. The zip code of the tree is 10510.

Some people in my neighborhood hire someone to take it away, some rent a roll off, and some leave it at the curb and after 3 or 4 weeks the township comes and takes it away. I drag it to the woods behind my house and dump it there. How does it work in your town?
In these situation I usually look up craigslist and ask a tree trimmer if they or they know anyone who would shred it, and how much it would cost to take it away or leave the mulch there.
I usually just leave the mulch in place, let them decompose over time, or fill up my yard waste bin a little every week till it is gone.
What type of wood is this, Oak, Maple, Cherry?

Don't you have a county dump? What happens to the trees the county cuts down or trims as well as the fall leaves on county property. Around here you can dump up to 500 pounds yard waste for free, then something like $20 a ton after that.
Around here people still burn wood and will happily show up to haul away free fire wood. Craigslist add?

Cut it into 18 inch lengths and stack neatly near the street and I bet it will disappear like magic. Put FREE on it.
I would but its not my house and its against town rules.
Is it less than 6 inches in diameter? As others said, the ones more than 6" in diameter, you're going to get have to get rid of somewhere else.
