I tried the Sylvania Silverstars. They were brighter than the stock bulbs... For a little while. After I went through two sets in a little over a year, I finally realized these are not worth the short life. So I went with the Xtravisions, and tonight was the first time I got to see them in the dark. I daresay the night visibility is just as good as the Silverstars, either that or they were already fading before I lost another one.
Now I feel a little silly for having bought two sets and falling for the blue tint gimmick. I finally see (no pun intended) why they get a bad rap. Big bucks for bulbs that appear whiter but only last for about 6 months. I was "blinded by the light".
