I have 1500 miles on my conventional oil and started the second Auto-RX treatment. I noticed that about 11 miles after I added the Auto-RX the engine was alot quiter. This seems strange to me because it could not have cleaned anything that quickly! Is the EP additive you add to this the key to this? Is the Ep additive ester based? I also noticed that the transmission seemed to shift better with Auto-Rx in it. I am beginning to think that my engine and trans likes ester based EP additives if this is what you use in with the natural reacted fatty acids. I only ask because I am trying to decide if I am going to purchase some Redline for the car. On a positive note while I never noticed anything in the filters on the first run with Auto-RX in the car I have noticed that the oil for the second treatment looks the same as when I put it in! It is still almost clear like light honey or Miller beer.
