White kid gets the ---- beat out of him by 6 black kids, and now several thousand blacks march in the streets.

The white kid and his family have had to leave the area because of death threats. What am I missing here?

I have a question for you Mark, since you are the resident expert on the plight of black Americans. If these alleged leaders of the black community (aka ambulance chasers) cared so much….why weren’t all these protests right after the nooses were hung? Where were they before 6 black youths committed yet another crime they will walk away from?

Can you imagine 6 white kids kicking the shet out of a black kid? They simply could not walk, Mark. And you KNOW it.

Whoever hung the nooses was in the wrong. The kids who beat up the white kid were in the wrong. And Jesse Jackson who says something to the effect that Obama is acting like a white person because he does not join the march is in the wrong also.

If they have definite evidence against whoever hung the nooses I think they should charge those people for harassment. And the black kids who beat up the white kid should be charged.

I remember in the Duke case all of those people going insane. And then when it comes out that the white guys are innocent of the crimes they were accused of all of those people marching and so forth do not come forward with an apology. The only one who did give an apology was that goofy DA as far as I know.

I am totally against racism. Whoever does wrong, regardless of their skin color, should have to pay the consequences.

Before people start marching and going crazy they need to be sure of the facts.

Forecasters have some sort of tropical system heading for Louisiana this weekend and possibly another one right after that. Emergency managers are already considering opening shelters here in SELA. Hope the protesters can get out of town OK. I'd hate to see them in the Superdome as a last resort by Sunday. At least the rain will help in the post march clean up in Jena.

I think that is the key. The youth should certainly be charged. However, attempted murder? Did no one else here have cliques in high school that would fight? Am I the only one who had a friend "jumped" by a group from another clique? Is it stupid- yes. Should they be charged- yes. Attempted murder? I hope no one here would say that. The boy they beat up (who apparently was somewhat antagonistic) went to a school function that night. Doesn't sound like attempted murder to me. I do have problems with the "set them free" mentality. They should be charged, just with a more reasonable charge.

i was one who got jumped in highschool. 6 guys tried to beat me up and they did a pretty good job of it. one fellow had brass knuckles and managed to break the bone around my eye socket causing my eyeball to slightly sink. i had to have corrective surgery on the muscles byhind my eyeball which control vision. had a piece of metal implanted in my face to hold my eye in too. i bled for 6 hours after the fight and before i got to the hospital.

i wish the people that beat me up were charged with attempted murder. they got off scott free. they should charge those punks with attempted murder and throw the whole freakin book at them.

I agree that their is a horrable double standards if you are part of an ethnic minority and can get a bunch a people to show up everyone get's free get out of jail free card. It always the poor opressed black,mexican,insert minority here. I am sure their are plenty of poor out of work white folk's and or working poor. I know quite a few myself included. So you will excuse me if I have no sympathy for so called opressed people. Like anyone is forceing them to live any place in particular. Last I checked it is their choice to get their fre education in the form of public education yet many of them toss it away like educationis a joke. I grew up in mostly black and hispanic coummnities so I know what I am talking about. The few black kids that applied themselfs and tried to get an education were all made fun of by all of their so called peer's. They were accused of being too white or being sell out's etc......Their are too many people that have come from nothing from every race color and creed by hard work and persistance. The problem is that those that choose to stay ignorant are constantly being feed a bill of good's by the liberal left. they want to keep them dependent on government hand outs. They want them to feel oppressed. This is much easier then takeing a close look at yourself and turning the finger inward. Then you have people that in my opion are predator's like Jessie James and Al Sharpton and Louis Farakan that prey on these communities. Heck people come from other countries not even speaking the language and make a good life for themselfs and their families in this country!

We have not had slavery in this country for over 200 year's. All of your imagrents were treated like dog ---- by those that came to America before them.Heck I am a German Jew not only did my family not own any slaves we have never oppressed anyone and I am tired of all white people being treated like they were slave owner's. When was the last time a black person was worked to death by their government, tattooed with a serial number like a machine, burried in mass grave's, gased to death or put in a oven???? I do not go around looking for a handout becuase all kinds of countries and christians have persacuted my ancestry. It is a dead horse and anyone that does not like maybe they should try doing something beside marching for the media! Maybe they need to lcean up their neigborhood's and elcect people to office that will create job's in their community. maybe they should run for office or make their kids study!
