I.D. this filter

Normal pleated paper panel filter, yellowish filter media, orange foam rim, "Made in U.S.A.," "X32882" on the filter, "FC3150" on the box.

Who made it?

The car it fits is a 1996 Volvo 850. There are no markings on the foam rim and no other markings on the plain blue box.

It's not one of the Champ brands, not Purolator, not Fram, not WIX, not Baldwin/Hastings, not OEM...who's left?

Pretty sure it was made in South Africa. This sounds like the mysterious blue box our filter supplier sends us once in a while with that type of filter in it.
 
Bingo. The FC3150 number matches. Thank you. I guess they do a lot of private label production.
