I have a challenge for those that have an inclination to metal, or maybe just those who might want to try something new.

I'm not the biggest metal fan, but Babymetal is growing on me, when she starts singing, Su has a [censored] good voice, and I can appreciate the rest, and the choreography and production of the music video is amazing. I'd encourage you to listen to the whole song through at least once. You can expect to see them on The late show on April 15th I hear.

That's actually not bad. You might like Rise Against, I think they have a popish kind of modern rock metal sound to them.

I didn't want to like it, but I kinda did. I heard another metal band from Japan that I liked recently... I just can't think of the name.

Just another Japanese girl band thrown together by some producer. Created to sell their panties in vending machines to perverted businessmen.
Right in there with the other 177 of them:

The vocals were just overpowered by the instruments, to my ear.
Barry Manilow and Art Garfunkel would not have been good metal vocalists, either, not an anti-female thing here. Need a gal with some growl and/or guts to her voice to match the power chords, like a Joan Jett or Amy Lee from Evanescence.

Japan.

Nick,
it's much better than the robot superstars, and I find it decently tolerable in comparison.

Agree. I was digging the music until the vocals came on.

The lead singer is good, but the addition of little-girl-sounding side-kicks is not appealing. I can see young'uns and old men finding them appealing.
