Does anyone know if Hyundai's TPMS is tire-location specific? IOW, if I rotate my tires, will it confuse the sensors in the tires and set off the TPMS light?

Not on my Sonata. All I get is an idiot light on the dashboard, but I have to check all 4 tires to figure out which one is upsetting the computer.

Ok, I've just been having my TMPS master light coming on alot lately, seemed to happen about the time I rotated tires. Just making sure that it wasnt the rotation that caused it.

when i used to change tires at a shop we would take all the wheels off at the same time. we didn't mark them when they came off the car or anything, so chances are they were put back on the car in different spots than they were originally. never had a TPMS system go haywire because of this. hope that helps. if your light is coming on you either have low air pressure or one of the sensors may be loose or defected.

It's the master light, not the warning light. Tires are good. Just wanted to make sure before I dove in on it
