Hyundai 1.8gdi hybrid engine recommend oil is 5w-20 and to change it at 7,500mi which is a fantasy.
There appears to be a little dirt or sludge around the bottom of the filter.
Since I use PP and 6,600 miles and 13 months is the longest oil change by far fo time and miles.
Usually I'm doing 3,500 to 6,000 miles and 8 months max I doubt it's sludge. More likely dirt as it has an air filter made from what appears to be used dryer sheets.
For 6,600 miles it appears to have done well, no need to go bigger.

You take those photos with a Motorola Razr? Just joking. Looks like a solid filter.

Thank you for the pics!

Overall it looks like the filter did well. What brand is it?

What brand air filter are you going to put in?

I do a 6k or 1 year oci on my Subaru and that seems to work well with a Fram Tough Guard. That and a new air filter should be a good setup for you.

That was a "Hyundai" oil filter.

Next oil filter from this car has 5,700miles on the current oil filter and on its second oil change. 10w-30 PP this time. I'll probably change it this fall/winter time. And it ought to have around 10,000 to 11,000 miles on that filter.

Oil test. Used PP 5w-30, filled to just past the low mark topped off about 4 to 6oz at a time with Mobil1 V-twin or Castrol GTX classic car 20w-50 oil. Still seems like it's losing viscosity.
Right now it's got PP 10w-30 in and had a couple top offs of Castrol GTX 20w-50.
Good thing PP is cheap.
I'm a change the current PP at 3,500 miles because when I get the car back on the road were going on a road trip with it.

Yeah, that viscosity looks low for the grades you're putting in there. Tin showed up this round...hmm. Otherwise good looking report.
