I think this is closer to the truth. Many of us here do check our oil regularly but we are a tiny minority.

I would be interested to find out what percentage of vehicle owners check their oil regularly. I would not be surprised if it is less than 10%.

I can't remember the last time I checked any of mine. None of them require make up oil between changes. Even the kids 170,000 K1500. I know I should do it more. I just don't. I will say my son checks all the fluid in the K1500 every 2 weeks. I never look at it unless he ask me to.
