Hunter has a new tool which allows technicians to perform a steering angle recalibration after an alignment. This is necessary for a lot of cars with stability control. For instance, the Toyotas with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) need a zero-point calibration after an alignment.
A lot of shops fail to perform a steering angle calibration after an alignment and this is a practice that will eventually bite them. Frankly, I'm surprised that someone did not come out with this tool sooner as stability control systems have been on the market for quite some time. Props to Hunter for proving to the market again that they are always striving to provide the most cutting-edge alignment and service equipment to shops.
Anyhow, have any of you seen this tool in action? Or even have it at your shop?
