Is this the slippery slope you're willing to go down? How soon before we end up paying 100% for 50% of something and it becomes regular practice?
 
Yep … mine came like that … front and rear versions. I regret not taking time to repaint before mounting since as pointed out some have thin/cheap coating

It was shipped using the standard shipping process for this item. Very few people are interested in paying extra to have a trailer hitch packed like it's fine china.
