If I remember right, my '74 Z had a sticker on the swingarm to change the chain every 3000 miles (they stretched/broke from the 60 hp back then). No master link. Had to pull the whole swingarm off. Early Honda 750's were being demolished when the chain broke and flew into the crankcase. Chains have come a long way!1976 z1 kz 900 (1075) fully built, welded crank, 13:1, race carbs and cams. Turns 13k. Has a powerband like a two stroke dirtbike. Klaus speedworks houston tx

Have you noticed a reduction in power, or any valvetrain wear? I know those motors used to have a problem with cam wear I believe due to insufficient oiling.I have had this beautiful 1984 V-65 Magna for 32 years. It had 7900 miles on it when I bought it in 1992 and now only has 28,000 miles. It's only had Amsoil Metric 10W-40 and genuine Honda filters and coolant. These bikes are so fun to ride, smooth, quiet, and tons of power.
