I am so old that back in the day, my McDonald's did not have a Drive Thru, the area where the Drive Thru is now had benches so we could sit down and eat and look at the Cows in the field across the street.
I am so old that I once drove a car where you had to hit a knob with your left foot to activate the High Beams.
Hey man. My first vehicle, a 1990 Ford Econoline had that feature. I'm 40
Car radios had to warmup before they worked.

Never heard of a starter pedal...my Grandpas 72 Oldsmobile had the floor mounted high beam clicker.
I'm so old that when I was a kid we went outside and played baseball in my friend's field.

I was 6 when JFK was killed. The school put the live radio report over the PA system and we didn't understand why teachers were crying. Came home from school and told mom the president got shot and she almost spanked me for saying something so terrible.
Kids don't know what 'outside' even is now. They are missing out.
The car I was talking about was a 1966 Pontiac Catalina, funny thing that happened, in 1984, my Dad bought a 1979 Pontiac Bonneville. He had to call the Pontiac Dealer to find out how to get the High beams to come on, where the turn signal on the left was, you just clicked it back.
I was 16 years old when you were born, no Cell Phones that could take pictures, the stuff I got away with. LOL

So old that it was normal to be working at 13 …
I'm so old, my fellow students and I used slide rules for engineering calculations. I lubricated mine with graphite for faster manipulation.

I'm 39 with 41 years of experience.
I think that if the "Apollo 13" situation happened today, they would be dead. It was the "slide rule" generation and a little luck is what got them home.

I'm so old, my parents had to be reminded that they had kids...

And yes, my first car was a 1960 Ford that had the headlight switch on the floor.

I'm only in my mid 40's, but can relate to many of these things...I guess growing up being lower class poor in the middle of Iowa you are a few steps backwards from everybody else.
