This may seem out of left field but old enough to think everyone had HIV. Seriously, the message was anyone could have it and you'd never know it for years so assume everyone has it. Now with current treatment, I don't ever hear anything about from my kids.

I'm so old I used to be in front of the black & white Tv Saturday mornings. Decked out with vest, with my double rig cap gun holsters and cowboy hat ready for Roy Rogers and Gabby Hayes to come on. I also remember the Tv used to sign off at midnight.

I'm so old, I can remember catching lightning bugs by the jarful.
Im 61. I remember party lines on the old rotary dial phones. No microwaves yet. I was my Father's remote control. We had 5 channels on TV and sometimes had to go on the roof to move the antenna around. One of my first vehicles was a 57 Chevy PU with a starter pedal. Up until I swapped in a 283 V8. I started working at 15 after school sandblasting semi-trailers for a paint shop. Pay was $5/hr which was real good for a high school kid. I felt rich. But it was dirty work. Most homes had shag carpet and bathrooms were pink, blue or yellow sinks and toilets. I didn't get an 8-track player till I was 17 or 18 years old. I had a huge wooden box to store the tapes in. Gas was under a dollar and Deisel was about $.48 a gallon. I could eat all week on $20. My Parent's house here in San Diego was $13k when they bought it. I could go on and on.

We used to have these little spiky balls (idk what they’re called) fights! Load up, and hunt all of our friends down.
Probably Chestnuts or Buckeyes? We used to have apple fights in a neighbor's abandoned orchard. That was fun. Somebody discovered how to "whip" green apples by poking them onto the end of a stick to throw them a long way. That was fun, too, until we got bigger and were chucking them far enough to reach the road and folks thought we were trying to hit cars with them.
