How much oil in your stash?

How did you get free quarts?

A promotion from Shell Rotella for their T6 Multi-fleet 5W-30 that they did at the end of last year. They were nice enough to send me some even though I was a little late to the party.

Wish i would have known about it. How can I be abreast of it? I am already on promotion/rebates forum alerts though?

Not entirely sure. I just saw that a member posted about receiving some and thought I'd ask. Didn't expect to get it, but lo and behold they sent me some. I've since used it in my Impala and have been impressed thus far.

Around Feb-Mar of last year Wal-Mart was having an on-line special on the oil. I learned about it here on BITOG. It's the best deal I've seen ever on oil so I stocked up.

You can only use so much oil. No need to have any more than you need for 2-3 oil changes and that's only if there's a really good sale. The sales always cycle back around. I can see some people swimming in a vault filled with jugs and quarts of oil like Scrooge McDuck.

I probably have 20 quarts, enough to get me through the year I think. Most of that was on sale. But once used up I'll probably just buy Supertech on an as needed basis and quit wasting space in my shed. Maybe keep enough on hand for one change, just in case I feel a need to do an emergency oil change.
