How much is your vehicle tag in your state ?

You never get away cheap anywhere.. If registration fees are low, you're taxed in another way. Road use dollars have to come from somewhere, doesn't matter where you reside. If there aren't any, you will then be driving on dirt.

Or the roads won't get improved and there will be tolls everywhere.

What is the cost of a regular passenger car or light truck tag where you live ? Not interested in vanity plates or commercial vehicles . My wife qualifies for a handicapped tag so we have one on both of our vehicles . The renewal came in this week . $10 each .
PA Doesnt do plate stickers anymore thank god.

There's that word again.....

According to the title of this topic, wouldn't that be a "tag sticker" or even better a "tag tab"?

That being said, I've driven a few California fleet vehicles that didn't have anything other than an original one. One went on, but it represented that it was a fleet vehicle where a new one didn't need to be affixed every year (or two in some states?). Anyone checking for registration status (law enforcement, parking enforcement, etc.) would then need to check the database for registration expiration. The general idea is that it might be something like a rental vehicle where it might move around and be difficult to get a numbered/unique sticker to the exact location of a vehicle. I drove a few service loaners too. Each fleet owner should get a bill every month for expiring registrations that they pay.

In California, the traditional sticker is serialized and pre-printed with the serial number. I've renewed a registration in person (including at AAA offices) where they'll pull new stickers from a roll and enter the number in the database where it's on the registration form. There are also these self-service kiosks that print a specific one for the vehicle with the license plate number on the sticker. They also have a two digit year rather than four. I've seen those sent through the mail as well as at those kiosks. But for the self-service ones, I've actually seen a machine being serviced and there were two rolls of the registration forms with different year stickers already attached. The printer was able to print both on the registration sticker and the paper form.

^^^ Yes, "TAGS" is commonly used where we are in the south, not license plate. When we moved from NY to the south we had no idea what a tag was *LOL*
Another common term here is "wreck" not "accident" I never heard the word car wreck until moving here either. It all was culture shock for us.

Just did the 2018 5.0, $338 for two years. One year would have been $187. The 07 4R is coming up next month and hopefully the discount on the 5.0 will pay for the 4R for two years, or at least most of it!
The 07 4Runner registration showed up 5/13. $62.96 for two years. And the saving by doing two years on the 5.0 almost paid for all of the 4R's.
Got the emissions done Thursday...maybe I'll get the tag in the mail today, two days later like the other car. Very fast turnaround!
