What is the cost of a regular passenger car or light truck tag where you live ? Not interested in vanity plates or commercial vehicles . My wife qualifies for a handicapped tag so we have one on both of our vehicles . The renewal came in this week . $10 each .

In Maryland $110.50 - 160.50 depending on vehicle weight. I remember when they were like $18.00 or so.

Cheap. What state?

I'm in Georgia and we pay a tax when the vehicle is purchased so we don't have to pay a annual ad valorem each year. I am a veteran so I get a veteran plate which is free. I think my annual vehicle registration costs me $1.00. If I didn't have the veteran plate then it would be an additional $20. If I submit my registration by mail it's another dollar. I'm cheap and I like to flirt with the girls at the tag office so I hand-carry my paperwork to the tag office each years and save the dollar mail-in fee and shoot the breeze with the staff.

Kansas is around 37.50 for the plate, but personal property taxes for most vehicles are due at the same time.. Trucks are more expensive depending on weight rating.

61 for tag and sticker

Just did the 2018 5.0, $338 for two years. One year would have been $187. The 07 4R is coming up next month and hopefully the discount on the 5.0 will pay for the 4R for two years, or at least most of it!

I pay $61.50 as I recall for the lighter cars, $78 or something for the heavier vans and whatnot.

Here in Florida it’s very little to renew tag ($30 per year) and zero property tax on vehicle.

I think my neon was $60 for the year. If it's an emissions test year it's an additional $25 on top.

75 bucks. It was 25 when I lived in Missouri but I had to pay personal property tax. No PPT or state income tax in TX. No worries, they make it up in property taxes.

Around $65 for gas or diesel vehicles (amount can vary based on county tax or fees) and around $165 for a hybrid. Some genius in Ohio's House or Senate wanted to penalize "electric" vehicles because the state doesn't get fuel taxes for those but didn't know how to distinguish between EVs and hybrids.
