There is some confusion in this thread because of how you worded things. Is this really 1200 minutes total for the entire year? That's 90 minutes a month? I've never heard of such a thing. Normally plans are monthly. *confused* Are you sure you read the plans details right? Is there a link to this plan somewhere on the ATT site? Is this really a 1200 min year plan or are you just pre-paying for that much and expect it to last an entire year? I'm confused about how this is working. It's not at all like what I have come to expect from ATT.
It's a Tracphone Prepaid. it comes with a certain number of Minutes, valid for a certain timeframe. back when i had one it was 90 days, but there are/were "1 year of service"cards you could buy, that made the minutes you bought good for a full year.(if you let the time run out, without adding more minutes your number got released back in to the pool, and you would get re assigned a "new" one when you topped up.)
back in the olden pre smart phone days, the one i had was a "double Minute Phone", meaning if you added a 30 min airtime card, you got 60 min added to your account. talk time was straight minutes used, and a txt used .5 minutes from your balance.
now their smart phone plans are kind of a "Triple Triple"
Ex: you buy a 120min airtime card. when you add it to your account, you get 360min/360Txts/360MB of Data to use before you have to top up again.
so his phone came with a 400min airtime card, Tripled to 1200 min talk/1200Txt/1200MB Data, with one year to use it.but you can add more at any time for an additional purchase.
