How Much Fluid IB/5 Transmisssion

How much Ford manual transmission fluid for IB/5 transmission in 2013 Fiesta SE? I put used transmission in my Fiesta. The owners manual says 2.2 quarts. Other sources say 2.3 quarts. One YouTube shows filling until it tops out at the plug hole where you fill it. I already pumped 2.5 quarts of the Motorcraft fluid in and it has not yet topped up at the hole.

Will having 2.5 quarts cause damage? Blow out seals?

I did get the transmission completely drained of all the fluid that was in it.

check the service manual. i think the correct level is 5mm BELOW the hole

i used to have that transmission in the ecosport

Is the car level horizontally? Is the fill plug horizontal? Most manual transmissions have a horizontal fill plug so you can't overfill.

If you fill it with 2.3 qt as opposed to 2.2, that is not a problem at all. Even 2.5 is no problem.

Yes

Is the fill plug horizontal?

Hard to say. The transmission is tilted with the engine to the rear.
