As for Terry's raising prices... well, the guy was probably overloaded with analysis work since every Tom, D.i.c.k, and Harry could afford to send in his sample. This meant a lot of overtime for Terry, and in his line of business, if he wants to stick to his trade secrets, he can't just easily hire more people to do the job. So the logical thing to do is to raise prices. This will reduce the number of samples and reduce the amount of overtime while increasing his revenue/hour. If you could do the same, wouldn't you?
As for me, I did enjoy Terry's UOA interpretation in the past, but my curiosity has also been pretty much satisfied at this point, and so I don't envision to be desiring his services, especially at the current price levels.
