How many men have dyed their hair?

The "problem", as you said, is that our self image doesn't alter that much from when we were more vital. The mirror can be a cruel reminder that we're aging. This is different than maturity and wisdom and the stuff that it involves. It's "self image".

We're still here:

You bring that "my worst nightmare" image back again and I'll find that David Hasselhoff animated gif from pre-BabeWatch.

My mother got tired of the Gray With a Touch of Black look, so now I'm Black with a Touch of Gray.

And we don't use the word "dye" around here - its "color"

I tried it once when I was 32 years old. I told myself this is absolutely stupid (for guys). I now have that 'Jay Leno' gray.

Uhhmn, I am bald and white haired. As long as you're not job hunting, go gray. Tell you what though, agism may be illegal ,but it a fact of life.

Im alittle disturbed by this but probably Mother know's best!!!

Yeah, that looks a little odd, doesn't it? To be clear, Mom doesn't live with us, or vice-versa, but she still occasionally decides to do a little "influencing", just to keep her mothering skills up, of course! Over time she managed to prevail on that issue. Even persuaded the wife to do hers, too.

I will never color/dye my hair. Apart from me thinking that this is who I am at my age, changing the color of hair will do absolutely nothing to/for me. Same thing for rugs. I'll never wear one and just clip my hair short.

Gray hair is OK with me, just as long as it isn't falling out. I'm 29 and have a full head of light brown hair, but the gray is definitely starting to show up. I remember being 14 yrs old and trying to find dye that would make our hair LOOK gray, too bad such a product doesn't exist!

I dyed my hair bleach blond in my younger days, a few times during Jr. High (I was the second one to do it in our school, and after that a year long trend was ignited amongst the males in our class) and also did it once in my early 20's.

Too old for that stuff now, hair dyeing is a young mans game, something to be played with before wrinkles and gray hair start showing up.

Colored hair also swept through in the mid 90's (blue and green were popular) but I never got caught up in that phase.

found my first grey chest hair the other day, it was devastating. my wife likes it htough. i'm only 28!!

I had my first significant grey head hair when I was thirty.
My head now has a great deal more salt than pepper, although my chest hair is still more pepper than salt.
My wife tells me I have some grey elsewhere, but I haven't really looked.
One could color it, of course, but if it looks good grey, and random women still smile at you and meet your eyes, why bother?
Think of your grey hair as a badge of age and experience.
I like mine, and would not change it.
