how long would you run oil pseudo break in

Rod bearings had excessive clearance in my 97 wrangler with an 89 engine in it. Its got the little 2.5 that could, but mileage is near identical between them.

I pulled the rod bearings, replaced them with fresh std ones, and rebuilt the oil pump and packed it with petroleum jelly

I am continuing to use the same filter because it had 800 miles on it and I snagged a deal on some super s oil at menards and was going to run it as a cleaning run.
How long would you run it before you dump it and start anew

First off, I would get something like this to coat the rod bearings:

and use this in the oil for 100 miles.

I assume you mean you were able to get some mineral (conventional ) oil at Menards.

I would also pour the Rislone stuff into the oil pump as well so the jelly doesn't muck up suction.

At college when we were rebuilding engines we used hyper-lube to coat the bearings/caps/etc. since it tends to stay where it is applied. Pretty cheap at most places

I'd change it after 500-1000 miles and call it good. Ask a simple question and you're first two suggestions are 'I would use this...' If the OP knew enough to replace the bearings I'll assume he added an appropriate break-n lube.

I believe Super S is labeled as a synthetic blend.
