How long does an ADBV hold?

Generally speaking, in a parked vehicle week after week. Do you think most of them eventually bend under downward pressure, or leak a little from the beginning eventually allowing the filter to empty?

Depending on the filter location and other variables the oil can also drain through the bearings if below the oil filter.

Shouldn't, but the way oil filters are being put together these days hard to tell how long the valve will hold.

I suppose it also depends on the engine, a three or four cylinder won't have as much oil in the galleries as a six or eight cylinder so not as much pressure from gravity.

Only way to know for sure is observing oil drain from removing the oil filter. You’d have to check oil drain amount an hour or two after running a car then also after a long duration of however you want.

In my experience, there’s still oil even months of sitting. How do I know this? Oil pressure dummy lights. When I start a summer car after storage, the oil pressure light turns off after 1 or 2 seconds. If I had changed the oil and oil filter, it takes closer to 4 or 5 seconds.
