While this topic is still going?

The oil in the Tecumseh LB is getting turned a milky grey color with metallic particles almost instantly. Could this be a sign of a needed carb adjustment? I am not too small engine savvy just yet.. The engine still runs great and starts on the 1 pull 90% of the time.

Sounds like the float is sticking letting fuel get to the oil. If it's the all metal carb it's super easy to rebuild. If it's the plastic...hah... have fun.

I cut my teeth on Tecumseh engines when I was a kid. I rebuilt a couple, fact I had a snow blower from 1995 with a 7hp Tecumseh. It spit a spark plug one time and I had a cylinder head laying around from an early 80's 6hp. I be danged if the head didn't match perfectly. I actually hope the mower the previous tenant left us is a Tecumseh. Bout that time, grass is getting green.
