I have a 3 year old Toro(tecumseh engine) and I was wondering if I can put GC 0w30 in it. Would it be good for the engine or should I stick with regular mower oil from the mower shop? I think I ran Castrol GTX 5w30 in my old Honda and it seem to work well. Thanks!

+1 I run in in my 10 HP Tecumseh HM 100 engine on my generator.

BTW, GC is better than Castrol 5w30.

I run Mobil 1 in my 11 HP Snapper riding lawn mower. I change it every year. The Owner's mannual recommends synthetic, in fact, it says use of conventional MAY cause more oil usage.

But isn`t GC 0w30 meant to be used in cold temperatures like during the winter months, how would this work in regular summer heat?

GC is very thick for a 30w. It does really well in high heat.
