If you're not a subscriber to the Hagerty Youtube channel, you probably should be. They turn out some pretty fun content on a regular basis.

In case there was any question, the ZR1X is fast....very fast.

I think it is fantastic that as we sit on what might be the beginning of the end of internal combustion, that Chevrolet is going down swinging playing in supercar territory with a legendary marque.

How does the Corvette handle? There's more to a "supercar" than going fast in a straight line, me thinks. :)

Yep, they're fast enough that you can run into the rear bumper of the car in front of you in a split second! Good thing they have good brakes too, or I would have been hit.

Is is truly bonkers. I want to see someone run one of these at the 25 hours of thunderhill raceway.

That's not entirely true. Chevy has really stepped it up with them in the past decade-ish or so though and done a really good job.
They call this one the Mulsanne Monster...

Fourth fastest production car ever, at the Nurburgring. And in fantastic company. The Mercedes AMG GT Black Series is the closest in price, at about $325k, compared to the $207k sticker for a ZR1X. The AMG One is a $2.7 million car.

It is a little bit of a stretch to include the 911 GT2 RS MR as a production car, as a specialty shop takes a standard GT2 RS and turns it into a $500k - $600k supercar.

So yea, the American "bargain" Corvette ZR1X has definitely earned it's stripes.

The fastest Lamborghini and Ferrari production cars would be somewhere between the #6 Model S Plaid and the #8 spot, where the regular ZR1 is, on the chart shown at about 16:58 seconds in the video. I've got to say, it made me smile, when I typed "regular ZR1", as there is nothing regular about it.
