How do you change the transmission fluid

I promise I'm not trying to be a smarty-pants, but it might be a good idea to pick up a service manual for your car. A cheap Haynes or Chilton manual will give sufficient instructions & diagrams for basic maintenance items like a transmission fluid swap, tune-up, etc.
i had a 98 GT with the same trans. Ford spec's Mercon/Dex 3 for that trans, i used Mobil 1 ATF. IIRC the drain and fill plugs are 3/8" square plugs. take off the fill plug, then the drain plug. when you finish draining it, tighten the drain plug. i used one of those fluid exchanger plunger things at home to add fluid. when i did it at work, i used the fill pump from our power steering fluid exchanger. add it till the level is just below the fill plug.

Yea i have modded mine a little bit its got ford racing perfomance intake manifold, Trick Flow high flow upper plenum, bbk throttle body, lowered an inch, drilled and sloted rotors, 3.73 in the rear end, cold air intake, h pipe flowmaster 40 with turn downs i think thats it lol so why did you get rid of your mustang

On mine,I ALWAYS remove the fill plug first (by using a 1/2 socket drive). Then remove the drain plug. Re-fill using one of those hand pumps that screws onto the quart bottles.

i heard a metallicy breaking sound at the apex of a high speed corner, and the car started sliding. anyway, looking for another mustang, gonna make it into an AIX or Time Attack car.
its scary when i started adding up all the mods to mine. i think i spent more on mods than i bought the dumb thing for.
