How can I remove starlock washers?

Is there some type of tool or some type of method I'm not familiar with? These are the lock washers in talking about.

If you're talking about the ones found on factory brake rotors, you take a chisel, cut one side, and tear it off with pliers.

If you get a small jewelers screwdriver and bend the tangs up to release the tension you could remove it. Then if you want to reuse it you bend the tangs back down so the tension is back on the plastic pin.

Those are called push nuts. I remove them with a small pry bar or sometimes some pliers will work.

I always used wire cutters and gave it a good yank. But that was the quick and dirty way to get them off.

Yeah I removed some from a lawnmower using a small flatblade screwdriver. Was my first time doing it and surprisingly it wasn't that bad, was able to reuse them too, they weren't in a critical spot in my opinion that I'm worried about them being worn.

If you're worried about damaging them on removal by being too rough with them, ace, true value or any other hardware store should sell them.

The issue is these pods are way up in the dash and im attempting to remove the pods without removing the dashboard so most of this clip removal will be done by feel. I was just hoping for some bizzare tool i have never heard of that helps with removal.

Trim tools work good too. .

If you can't see them it will be pretty challenging IMO, but can't hurt to try.

I ended up removing the dash. It seemed to be the easier option than trying to fight with disconnecting everything. Ill post some pics later

So because I removed the dash I actually don't have to mess with taking off the washers. I made a tool that allows me to disassemble the vacuum pods in place so I don't have to risk breaking the posts.

I just pry them out using 2+ flat head screw drivers, then I hammer them flat to be reused again.
