How brake rotors are manufactured……

I really hope this is not how my Brembo rotors are made.

Please delete if this is a repost.

How do they know what the resulting metal's composition is?
I wonder if any of there rotors end up in America.

Nah, these workers are way too productive to be Italian workers. Hey, my grandparents all came from Italy!!

The funny part is if you search for "SECRET Handmade Process of Watanabe Wheels" on YT you'll see how much more expensive stuff is made, in not that different conditions.

Sorry, apparently these are their "golden ones." I only budgeted for standard iron.

There are other stores. But brand is important here. You ain’t going to get this from ATE, Pagid, Textar, Advics, Akebono, etc. regardless that they are made in China or wherever.
My car has Brembo brakes. I bought replacement front rotors (Performance Fri8ction 08b pads are hard on rotors) from FCP Euro.

Love videos like this! There are lots of them. The ones involving casting are super fun. The dudes in this video have far more control over their raw material than many others I've seen. Watched one where there was a wide variety of scrap going into the melt; iron, steel, whatever. One clip even showed the dude pushing the entire wheelbarrow into the melt.

Brembo is good, but their aftermarket stuff does not fix issues that OE has. VW sources Brembo rotors as OE on Atlas. Absolute junk, because VW wants that compound (cheap). Their aftermarket stuff is the same. OE and aftermarket Made in USA. ATE, on the other hand, offers aftermarket stuff for VW that solves that problem. Nothing special, regular rotro, but far better quality. Made in China.

Cool video. With me, it's hit or miss with rotors. A crap shoot. I've had Centric that would go 2 pad slaps, or Centric that warped in weeks. Tried them all. Vented/slotted / coated / non coated. My latest success was with AC Delco, but who knows where they were made, and where they are made now. Rotors are coming from all over the world now. Crap Shoot
