Added 20 quarts of Mobil 1 Extended Performance to the stash. At 18$ a jug how could you not. And still have about 25 quarts of the vanilla Mobil 1 on hand. It's about 18 months worth or so.
I couldn’t take it any more and bought one more jug of Mobil 1 Euro FS 0W-40.
What do you consider to be normal? Prices haven't risen as of now and many oils are on sale or closeout.Recently added 4 of the Havoline High Mileage blend 6 qt boxes in 5w-30. 3 vehicles I service are 6 qt capacity, so convienent. Also, 3 10w-30 Quaker State 5qt packs of synthetic. All Amazon buys. I plan to use up some of the 10w-30 I have this summer. I’m hoping this stash will carry me 3 yrs or until prices return to normal. I grocery shop Walmart every Saturday and I cruise the automotive area. Last week oil was stocked normal, I’m wondering what this Saturday will show.
I do wonder if this might be similar to the toilet paper situation of 2020 where prices didn't go up but supplies were very limited and disappeared fast. What do you consider to be normal? Prices haven't risen as of now and many oils are on sale or closeout.

Yes definitely think the smaller blenders will be affected first (and have been it seems—hopefully the surcharge with AMSOIL doesn't become permanent). They don't have access to base oils except through others. Only time will tell, but ExxonMobil, Chevron, and Shell control their own base oil supply, and XOM and Shell also co-own Infineum so I'd imagine they're the most insulated, but we'll see.I’ve thought about this as well. HPL had a price increase and I think Amsoil did as well. However, based on my conversations with Mary Jane at HPL their price increase may not necessarily be related to Iran as she mentioned they had not raised prices in several years when I asked several months ago. I know we have a member here (can’t remember his handle) in the business and he has mentioned the price increases they’ve seen and they were significant.
Maybe smaller companies are affected sooner than the big boys? Or maybe your thought is right?
That was literally me my stash 5 years ago and I still have years to go. 3 cars. Not driving as much since the war.
wish i could find delvac 1 gear oil close to me. only real option is amazon. or 2 hour drive.

We have friends stashing tubs of stuff who are moving out of town this weekend. Once they’re gone I might have to line up my stash of oil and post a pic.

I think it’s a good oil. I wouldn’t kick yourself. It’ll do fine. It won’t clean but should run clean.I think being an older car lover, even though I got an awesome deal on it, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30 is my biggest regret. From all I've read it's a thin 5dubya developed for modern engines. I've learned a ton on here just from reading and I'll use it up but a deal is only a deal and worth stocking up on if it's the right fit for your applications.
