How are lows Simpson Power Washers?

There is no throttle on these engines? You start them and they run at a set RPM. You pull the trigger and the governor should keep the RPMs constant as the load increases from the pump running.
If yours dies then your governor is messed up.
My pressure washer has a throttle.

My particular model doesn’t have a Honda engine though.

Correct, this model Simpson has a fixed rate throttle. By ear it sounds like 3300 ~ 3500 i have yet to put a tach on it.

Most manuals I have read say to not let the engine run without having the trigger pressed for any longer than 2 minutes. This completely makes sense as nothing is cooling the pump.......

I got a 2300 psi Simpson with a Kohler motor about three years ago. Been great for what I use it for. Started first pull this spring with some new gas. It does not have a drain plug for the oil. it was a 1/2 mark low this spring.

I think it has 5w30 in it but I added 5w40. Manual say no oil changes!! And throttle is choke, run or kill.
