This is a very intriguing grind. I started down the rabbit hole looking up details on some of the Cam Motion grinds and found myself overwhelmed with intake and exhaust flow theory that I can't say I quite understood, not that I'm an expert or anything. It seems to be a specific grind for a specific purpose.

I will certainly give them a solid look and discuss my needs when the time comes. They seem very well regarded.

If memory serves me...and it may not. My cam is as follows:
Duration 228/232
Lift .582/591
LSA 112
Other bits include.
LS6 intake
Patriot Stage 2 heads, Mac Mid lengths with high flow cats Magnaflow cat back
Mcleod twin disk cluth

So... and dang you..

I noticed my power steering does the same thing. I just replaced the rack with one from Rack Doctors.

You have any part numbers on your cooler setup?

Concur.

AC Delco Upper Coolant Hose (w/o power steering cooler) - P/N 26347X

I used -6 AN fittings throughout: Two 90 degree fittings on the cooler, a 45 degree fitting on the rack, and a straight fitting on the pump return. I ended up with Fragola push-lock fittings (because that's the brand stocked by my local speed shop) and Parker push-lock hose.

Awesome! I appreciate it. You win the internet for today!

Quick follow up: Ran my first auto-x event since the steering changes. Max temp I saw over four runs was 165 F (as measured in the reservoir between runs). Ambient temp was unseasonably hot for September too, about 88 F.

Win. One less thing to worry about.
