I was home for under 36 hours and the sprinkler system I suspect froze, and not watering four trees that need to be watered. The entire sprinkler system needs to be redone, so I had no choice but to turn off the system until I can properly redesign the sprinkler system.

Not wanting the trees to die (maybe too late), I asked my wife to water the trees, trickle a hose on each tree one hour per day.

The hose has to be 100 feet and light weight, and non kinking. Went with the flexzilla hose.

Hose arrived today, and the question I was asked was which end goes in the spicket, and she sent pictures for me to identify for her which end goes on the spigot.

I wanted to get frustrated, but instead reflected that my wife corrects all may papers from passive to active voice, something I am clueless on. She without a doubt has a much higher IQ than me. She has raised out now adult children in an outstanding manner, while I have often been away from home many months at a time.

We all just have different for god given gifts, some people are “mcgyvers”, some people are smart enough to rarely put themselves in a situation to have to be a “mcgyver”.

Tell her to stretch it all the way out and start twisting it. If it makes more kinks twist it the other way.

Hope you don't have one of these to complicate things further:

I bought one of those years ago because the shutoff valve was leaking. Never did get around to using it.

It's OK to laugh at the wife, it makes for a healthy relationship. But then again I'm on wife number three so my advice might not be any good.
Just for clarification, I am not laughing at the Wife. Not at all. Simply sharing we all bring different things to the table, and things that may be overwhelming to one person, may be as easy as eating a pancake to another. My Wife does things I can never do/ figure out, and that is the way life rolls.

All our neighbors are in the Air Force. It's unlikely they can address a ground/land solution.
I highly doubt that every one of your neighbors is gone at the same time. There has to be someone within crawling distance who can help....if you were friends with them.
