How about a cruise? You may be able to fly to Miami or Port Canaveral and do a 7 day cruise for that budget. If you are alcohol drinkers you can buy the drink package which may come out to your benefit.

You'll be in a warm location, get nice accommodations, great food, have access to shows, gambling and get to see a few places. We've been on a few cruises and like Royal Caribbean. The ONLY thing is you'll need a passport but you have plenty of time to get one.

I say go on a cruise. Super cheap if you go off season. We went on a 7 day Caribbean cruise in January. Cheaper than a week's condo rental in Galveston!

+1 for going on a cruise. My wife and I have gone on two and loved them. Once with Royal Caribbean and once with Norwegian, both out of Miami and both were awesome. When you figure in everything you get in the price of the cruise, it's a great deal. Tons of stuff to do and you get to see several different destinations in one trip.
