i just did a service on a small honda trimmer at the retirement village where i'm employed as a maintenance repairman
said trimmer had been used by gardening ( division ) and had not had oil checked for 6-7 months. when i checked the dipstick, nothing showing
drained the oil, i couldn't believe how little there was
SO I MEASURED IT ... 25 mls of black yuck, i think it takes 100 mls, so it ran at only 1/4 full
filled it up with JOHN DEERE 10w40
ran as good as new
question is, do you screw in the dipstick to check level or just push it in till the threads stop it ?
T/Y, johnny
p.s. gardening lost the manual
