Honda Recall : 2016-2021 Civic wheels -accessory

I didn't see this posted, thought I should in case there are Civic owners out there with these accessory 18 inch wheels.. Looks like they weren't manufactured properly with steel inserts into the lug holes. Here's the info from Honda's newsroom

"November 7, 2025 — TORRANCE, Calif.

• Voluntary recall will determine if vehicles are equipped with a limited number (3,276) of accessory wheels.
• Improperly manufactured accessory wheels may cause wheel nuts to loosen and detach
• Authorized Honda dealerships will perform a free inspection and, if necessary, replace accessory wheels at no cost to the owner
• American Honda has not received any confirmed reports of crashes or injuries related to this issue

American Honda will voluntarily recall approximately 406,000 model-year 2016-2021 Honda Civic vehicles in the U.S. to inspect a limited number of accessory wheels (3,276 units) that were sold in the U.S. and may have been improperly manufactured.

Due to a manufacturing process error by a supplier, the steel lug seat inserts in aluminum accessory wheels may not have been installed (pressed) into the nut seating surface. During normal vehicle operation, the lug nut seating surface may deform, which could cause the wheel nuts to loosen and detach. This could result in the wheel separating from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

American Honda is announcing this recall to encourage owners of affected vehicles to take them to an authorized dealer for inspection as soon as they receive notification. Owners of these vehicles can also determine if their vehicles require inspection by visiting www.recalls.honda.com, or by calling (888) 234-2138.

Hey you're welcome. It is a smaller number of defects but I thought I'd post it to help people out who might not know about the recall.
