3.5L V6 (2004 Saturn Vue)
Mobil 1 0w-20 now. When that runs out, Pennzoil 5w-20. IMO either one will show a 5K used oil analysis to be top-notch.
(If I can resist the temptation to change it at 3K!

3.5 Saturn V6
Mobil 1 0W30 winter, 5W30 summer
(6 month OCI, about 5000 miles)

considering the new Mobil 1E for a one year OCI test..

Exxon 5-20 (currently 58k on a '02 Si)
Was going to try MC 5-20 since it was only .20 cents more at Walmart then Exxon was at AutoZone but it wasn't in stock at Walmart.

Just changed the oil in my wifes 2003 CRV. I was using the Mobil 1 0w-20. Being that they no longer make that oil I put in the new Mobil 1 5w-20. I noticed that the color of that oil is slightly less dark as the old formulation (I had some extra 0w-20 left in a container from last change). I found that a little odd.

Color change was due to GF-4 as stated on Mobil's webpage. Whether thats a good thing or bad thing remains to be seen. I think GF-4 only benefits conventional oils personally.

Buster,

Sorry, but no UOA. I'm on a 6 month/5k regiment and unfortunately, the car only sees about 3.5k miles in 6 months.

Based on what Terry said in earlier posts, I'm counting on the robust add package because it's only 3.5 miles each way to work. The water temp reaches normal and the oil temp probably never comes up to norm.

Anyone doing dealer oil changes?

We traded my wife's Civic last month for a 2005 Accord 2.4 I4 and the dealer told her that if she took it back to them for all the schecduled maint/service they would extend the warranty for her to 5yrs.

They want to follow the owner's manual recommended 5k severe service OCI with their bulk oil.

BTW our first fuel fill-up only netted us ~23mpg mostly city driving. Is this normal for this car?

Running Pennzoil 5W-20 plus MolaBrew in our 02 Accord V6. Brother-in-law is doing same in his 00 Accord V6. Sister is running Honda 5W-20 in her 04 Odyssey.

03 MDX
5w20 Castrol Syntec Blend after factory fill
0w20 Synergyn for 2 intervals
0w20 Mobil 1 last fill and current

have also used 5w20 Exxon Superflo on a Ford ZX3

IMO, you can't beat the Superflo for price/performance especially when used spring or fall.

'03 Odyssey

I've been alternating between Mobil 1 0w20 and MC 5w20 based on availability at Wally's. Now that Wally's will not carry MC anymore, I think I'll start using Mobil 7500 5w20.

04 Accord V6.

Sams Club gas 28 MPG. GTX 5W20.
Switched to Shell Regular and jumped to 30.6 to 30.8 MPG with GTX 5W20.
Since then, M 1 5W20....32.3 MPG! Same 140 mile daily drives. I'm a believer now. Syn all the way.
