Got my bread machine out after several years. Decided to make some sandwich bread. I am using flour with no additives, un-brominated.

A local mill has all kinds of flour, without additives.

I did use a high gluten flour, so i can slice it for sandwiches.

What other ingredients other than yest are you using? I want to make some in our machine. And did you use the dark setting

Go for it. You can't beat fresh, risen, real bread.
Anadama bread is ok and welcomed, but it's characteristically tough.

Just discovered Costco's larger and more plush pitas. While I can't eat them (low carb diet), they've a "8.5" from Mrs. Kira.

Sugar, a bit of salt, butter. i used the medium setting, 2lb loaf. it came out light so i did put it in the oven a moment to make some outside crust.

Since this is sandwich bread. I used high gluten flour.

Milk slightly over 1 cup warmed.

Flour 3 3/4 cups.

3 tablespoons of melted butter.

1 1/2 teaspoon of yeast.

1 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

I load my yeast in the bottom with the milk and butter.

I put the salt on top of the flour.

I think i rises better.

A lot of bread machine recipes say put the yeast in last on top, i don't.

I'm using an old Breadman plus TR 810.

I’ve been buying Old Mill Of Guilford products for many decades. I live 6 miles South of the old mill, just off of State Hwy 68. General Cornwallis in 1781 used the original mill { originally located across the road } to grind corn for his British troops just before the Revolutionary War battle of Guilford Courthouse. It’s a local gem that’s registered in the National Register of historic places.

And why do you miss it?

I too miss bread because the goal of weight loss is more readily achieved by not eating all "white carbs".
It's working for me.

I miss it because it's the staff of life, and it tastes great. I don't eat it because it turns me into the Goodyear blimp, and I am struggling to keep my weight down to The Michelin Man proportions. If you follow tires, you'll get what I mean.
