Yes, unfortunately, due to budget cuts, the Batmobile has been downsized. Now instead of the Lincoln chassis, it has gone to a more contemporary design. The only technilogical advantage to be added is that the normal single turbine exhaust port has now been replaced with a twin port design. This was felt necessary since the length, much shortened from the original design, would be far less stable with a single/central trust point.

as crazy as it looks (and is) it is powered my turboshaft engines but using thrust only. turboshaft engines are not designed for thrust and put out very little thrust relative to their size. one jet engine of similar size would put out more thrust than 4 of those engines. if the pto shaft was coupled to something then it would be crazy!

I just thought it was some lame psuedo Type-R exhaust boohicky stuff going on there.

Someone had deep pockets and lots of time ..or had one of the best scrapyards to pick through.
